FAQ
Got questions? We have answers!
Does your staff stay during the picnic or event?
Our staff does not stay for picnics, usually. If it is at our preferred location or nearby, we will be within close enough proximity to be back if you need us quickly. If it is a catering-style event, we may remain on the premises for the duration, to either refill foods/drinks (if applicable) or to collect our servingware/decorations afterwards.
What if inclement weather is predicted?
If inclement weather is predicted, we have a couple options:
1- Wait. We can see what it is looking like closer to the actual event. I need at least 2 hours to set up, so we can make the call up to 4 hours before the event, or if it is early morning, the night before.
2- Reschedule. We do not offer refunds, due to any reason. You can reschedule for a time within 60 days of your current scheduled date.
What time should we arrive and depart?
This seems pretty obvious, but please do not arrive to your session early, if possible. We may either be still setting up, or if there was a picnic scheduled before you, they may still be there.
Departure: You should leave no later than the time you have scheduled, but should you choose to leave early, you need to let us know, and wait for us to arrive (unless it is an emergency), as you are responsible for your picnic, while we are away.
Do you allow fire pits, bonfires or tabletop fires?
That's going to have to be a no. Not only is it a huge liability for us, but also for the places we host our events. It also puts our property at risk of damage and it just isn't something we are willing to risk.
Do you offer gift certificates?
ABSOLUTELY! They are good for one year from date of purchase.
Do you allow or provide alcohol?
We do not provide alcohol, but you can BYOB, as long as the venue of your choice allows it and you are willing to sign a waiver of liability for The Picnic Basket and Co. AND the venue, releasing them from any and all liability.
With that being said, our sister company Molly's Pops, provides popsicles as an add-on and adult pops are also an option!
Do you have a photographer available?
We actually do! The previous owner of Picnic Basket and Co. went to photography full-time and lives nearby. As long as her schedule allows, she is willing to do photos as an add-on!
What are the options as far as food?
We provide our standard charcuterie spread and water, but we do have options for add-ons, desserts and are glad to accommodate allergies, if possible. If you'd prefer to bring your own food, we can discuss options!
Are pets allowed?
We always allow service animals, but restrict the accompaniment of others. We do not want to risk allergies and shed hair transfer, from one client to the next. We also have breakable items, and with it being floor-style, they are easier to become broken.
